A Homestead
in the Heart of the Forest
We are zoologists living year‑round in a small hamlet inside the Naliboki Forest. Our home stands among deep woodland where we study wolves, lynx, and brown bears. This is not a tourist base — it is our everyday life, shaped by fieldwork, long forest walks, and quiet observation.
You may stay at our guest house with a wildlife tour, come only for the excursion, or visit simply for a peaceful stay.
Staying at Our Homestead
Our home is simple, warm, and surrounded by forest. You will enjoy:
-
quiet mornings with birdsong
-
evenings by the stove after long walks
-
the feeling of being far from noise and hurry
-
the chance to live “inside” the forest, not just visit it
The house is comfortable for individuals, couples, families, or small groups. Inside you will find:
-
a living space with a wood‑burning stove
-
a fully equipped kitchen
-
sleeping space for six: one big bed (180×200) and four 120×200 mattresses in the loft
-
a bathroom with hot water
-
small sauna
-
Wi-Fi
-
breakfast from our small farm is available on request
Our homestead is in a small hamlet in the heart of the Naliboki Forest, 100 km from Minsk. The Volka River is nearby, and 3 km along a forest road is the quiet forest lake Voka, surrounded by woods in every direction.
Wildlife Tours and Nature Walks
Our tours are small, personal, and respectful. They grow from our daily fieldwork and from the way we move through the forest ourselves.
Each walk is shaped by your pace, your interests, the season and weather, the real situation in the forest that day. We do not stage encounters. We simply share what we know from years of studying. Sometimes we meet animals; sometimes we read their tracks and signs and stories behind. Both are part of the experience.
What Makes Our Trips Personal
-
We live here — the forest is our home, not a workplace.
-
We are zoologists — our knowledge comes from long-term research, not from textbooks.
-
Small groups or individual walks — calm, attentive, and immersive.
-
Flexible routes — chosen together, depending on weather, season, and what the forest is offering.
-
Real stories from fieldwork — shared openly and honestly.
